Our commitment: Our approach

This pivotal moment in history we are witnessing is unfortunately marred by a surge in cutaneous adverse effects, which can sometimes profoundly change a person’s appearance. Cancer has harsh effects on the body, skin, hair, and nails, and some of the available treatments lead to cutaneous effects which can be a source of physical and psychological discomfort to patients.

This is why the La Roche-Posay Dermatological Laboratory is committed to taking care of cancer patients’ skin, limiting or delaying any side effects they may experience, and improving their everyday comfort, both during and after treatments. Working hand-in-hand with dermatologists and oncologists, we honour our daily commitment to listen to patients’ needs, to further research, and to develop and share our knowledge with healthcare professionals.

Two observational studies* have shown the usefulness of La Roche-Posay products in limiting side effects and improving patients’ everyday comfort. In line with published recommendations, and along with many healthcare professionals, we are convinced that dermocosmetics contribute to improving patients’ lived experience of cancer and its treatments.
